The JWD program is a new initiative that provides pathways to employment in the tech sector for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members.

The Adelaide Football Club will provide launch support initially, with scope to provide mentoring for students throughout the program. The club will also promote successful participants of the program through its extensive network partners.

Sir Doug Nicholls Round

Sir Doug Nicholls Round, formally known as AFL Indigenous Round, is a celebrated Round of AFL, highlighting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander contributions to the great game of Australian Football.

The Adelaide Football Club has hosted a Sir Doug Nicholls Round home match since 2015, and it will remain a priority for the future. This game is a source of pride for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander players (both past and present), our members, supporters and brings the whole club together in a celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

Employment Opportunities

We endeavour to inspire the next generation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander footballers and football administration staff. Before we can inspire, we must ensure we promote possibilities within the industry then create pathways to enter the industry.

Employment opportunities vary across the club and may include traineeships, cadetships, casual, part-time and full-time work.
