Richard Douglas is the Victorian boy who fell in love with South Australia, and a South Aussie girl.

Now engaged, he has signed a one-year contract extension to stay with the Crows and this week on FOOTYplus he tells us what he loves most about SA and the Crows.

“I think early days you have a bit of homesickness as a young fella, but I never really considered it seriously,” Douglas said.

“[Adelaide] It’s such a beautiful place to live, really relaxing.

“I just love what’s outside of Adelaide itself too.”

Also on the show, we speak to Maeve Plouffe, an 18-year-old graduate of SASI’s talent ID program, which helped the former surf lifesaver move to cycling. Earlier this year she raced in the Tour Down Under.

Belinda Sloane investigates what ‘Foster Fail’ is and why the SA Greyhound Adoption Program is in desperate need of foster carers, despite more and more people falling in love with their fostered greyhounds.

Touching on the future, Amos Gill visits Minus110 on Hutt St to learn about all things cryotherapy from Crow Kyle Cheney.

FOOTYplus airs Saturday, July 28 at 10:30PM, directly following the Adelaide v Melbourne game on 7 and 7HD, as well as on-demand on 7plus.
