An experienced Crow says new Adelaide recruit Jordan Dawson has given the Club’s culture his tick of approval during pre-season 2022.

Speaking to the media on Monday, backman Luke Brown, who is lining up for his 11th pre-season, said Dawson had been impressed by the Crows’ young side.

“He says our guys have been going really well compared to the group up there, our culture is just as good, the way we train, the standards - for us it’s really good to hear that,” Brown said.

The 24-year old, who was traded to Adelaide from the Swans in 2021, has linked up well with more experienced Crows including Brown and Rory Laird.

“He’s come down with great leadership from Sydney and he’s fit in really well, the group of guys he’s come into are around the same age and he’s been able to take that step into leadership,” Brown said.

Brown, who played his 150th game for the Club in 2019, said the younger cohort had again been taken under the wings of the Crows’ more experienced players.

“With my level of pre-season now they’re all as hard as each other so you just try to improve as much as you can and help the young guys as much as you can, especially with the work ethic stuff which Burgo (Darren Burgess) really loves,” Brown said.

“The older guys are driving it and the younger guys are bringing the energy… Nicksy’s all about prioritising others and that’s what we’re doing.”
