Skipworth, playing as a permanent small forward, booted four goals for the Eagles against North Adelaide in the opening quarter at Woodville and was a constant threat for the rest of the match. The performance was a great follow-up to his 41-possession effort the previous weekend.
Chris Knights, returning from a quad strain, also was a good contributor with 22 possessions and one goal.
For North, ruckman Ben Hudson impressed with his efforts all over the ground. He had a dozen possessions and 18 hit outs and also snapped a confidence-lifting goal.
Glenelg’s rise up in the premiership ladder continued and once again teenager Richard Douglas was a contributor, with two goals from 22 possessions.
Defender Jason Torney was rated high in South Adelaide’s best as it pushed for a finals berth by beating Norwood. He had 24 possessions and also kicked a goal.
Ivan Maric performed strongly in the ruck for Port Magpies on Saturday, collecting 19 possessions and 19 tap-outs. He was then a late inclusion in Adelaide’s team to play Fremantle the next day (after the withdrawal of Rhett Biglands).
For Norwood, Darren Pfeiffer was excellent in the first half at half back before shifting forward.
