Adelaide has recalled Tyson Edwards and first-year ruckman Ivan Maric for Friday night's clash with Essendon.

Maric replaces Clarke, who will rest a sore Achilles, while Edwards returns after missing the Carlton game because of an ankle injury.

Hayden Skipworth is out but is an emergency with Jason Torney and Jason Porplyzia.
