Adelaide midfielder Matthew Crouch has been omitted from Sunday’s Round 15 game against North Melbourne.

On Friday, senior coach Matthew Nicks confirmed to the media that Crouch would not play.

Harry Schoenberg will replace him in the side.

“Matty is going to go back to the SANFL," Nicks said.

“We made a change through the midfield this week, which is a challenging one for Matty.

“But we feel that balance in there (the midfield) is something that we are going to have a look at this week.

“We were exposed in that on the weekend, Gold Coast really did put us to the sword a little bit on the outside so we are going to make a change and Harry Schoenberg will come in.

“Schoeny coming back in – he’s gone through similar things where we’ve asked him to go back and work on parts of his game, he’s done that and comes back in with some confidence and will add to the group.

“He’s been in some really good form working on areas back at the SANFL level that we’ve asked him to and comes in with some good form under his belt."

Adelaide’s final 22 will be announced on Friday at 4.30pm ACST.
