Adelaide forward Josh Rachele will make his SANFL debut this weekend as he returns from injury.

Rachele has been named in the Crows’ SANFL team, which will take on Woodville-West Torrens at Woodville Oval on Sunday afternoon.

The 19-year-old has missed the past three AFL games with a hip injury.

Fellow forward Riley Thilthorpe has also been named, as he navigates a return from a rolled ankle, which forced him to miss last weekend’s AFL clash with Carlton.

Chris Hall, Louis Sharrad and Isaya Mckenzie are among the development players listed.

It will be a special day for SANFL Skipper Matthew Wright, who will lead the side out as captain for the 50th time.

Wright said it was an honour to have held the title since first lining up for the SANFL team in 2019.

“I was sort of thrust into it when I finished off with Carlton and came back to Adelaide,” Wright said

“But it was probably the best thing for me to come back and sink or swim in the deep end a little bit.”

Adelaide plays Woodville-West Torrens at Woodville Oval on Sunday, with the first bounce at 2.30pm.

The match can be live streamed through the SANFL Now App for free.

*AFL emergencies are still to be added to the SANFL team.
