The AFL Players’ Association has recognised Adelaide forward Darcy Fogarty and midfielder Sam Berry for their strong individual campaigns, naming the duo in the 22Under22 squad.

Fogarty has become a mainstay in the Crows’ forward line this season, playing 15 games and booting 26 goals.

The 22-year-old has also been nominated for Goal of the Year and Mark of the Year twice, claiming both after his Round 20 performance against Carlton.

Berry, meanwhile, is renowned for his tackling and is rated elite, averaging 9.4 tackles per game to lead the competition, while finding a regular spot in the midfield.

Players must have featured in a minimum of 11 matches for the year, with consistency of performance then rewarded.

The final team will be decided by fans, with voting on the 22Under22 site opening on Wednesday, August 10 and closing on August 17.
