SANFL veteran Chris Hall has been named to play his 200th League match in Adelaide’s Round 19 Showdown against Port Adelaide.

The match, to be played at Adelaide Oval before the Club’s AFL Showdown, could also decide the SANFL Minor Premiership - if North Adelaide fails to beat Sturt on Saturday.

Hall is among 12 development players listed in the team alongside Louis Sharrad, Jay Boyle, Isaya Mckenzie, Josh Smithson, Matt Wright, Mitch Johnson, Riley Clamp, Jacob Templeton, Oliver Clarke, Hayden Kernahan and Jack Lewis.

AFL-listed youngster Luke Pedlar is named on the half-forward line, while Luke Nankervis, Jackson Hately and Zac Taylor form part of the midfield makeup.

Young forward Tariek Newchurch has not been named and will instead be rested ahead of the finals next weekend.

“Tariek has been experiencing soreness over the past couple of weeks, so we have made the decision to rest him ahead of the SANFL finals,” Crows Head of Football Adam Kelly said.

Hall, meanwhile, said it was an honour to notch the milestone.

“It’s exciting to get there,” Hall said.

“It’s something that’s really special and something I didn’t think would happen.

“I’m really lucky to be able to play my 200th at Adelaide Oval and in a ‘Showdown’.”

The Crows play Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval on Saturday, with the first bounce at 3.20pm.
