Young Crows forward Luke Nankervis has signed a two-year contract extension through to the end of 2025.

The 19-year-old, who can also play on the wing, was drafted from Victoria in 2021 and made promising progress in his first season playing with the Crows’ SANFL team which made a preliminary final.

Adelaide General Manager List Management and Strategy Justin Reid said the Club was pleased with Nankervis’ development and excited about his potential.

“To come in and navigate his first AFL pre-season then have an immediate impact in our SANFL team after playing very limited football due to Covid in the two years prior is very pleasing,” Reid said.

“Luke is very good aerially and can play a range of roles for our team and we will look forward to watching him continue to develop this season.”

Nankervis said he was eager to repay the Club’s faith in him as he improved his game.

“It’s great that the Club is going to put the time into me and back me in to do the work,” he said.

“Towards the end of last season I felt I started to show a bit more and finished strongly, my footy brain is better and my body feels stronger so I’m excited to see what this year brings.”
