As previously confirmed by the club, Ricciuto’s liver became inflamed when his body was fighting the parvovirus. The liver is being monitored regularly and slowly returning to normal.
Club doctor Brian Sando said: “There has been no change to his status medically. He is feeling better but his liver test results are still not close enough to normal for him to return to any physical activity. We are not sure when that will be."
