Associate Strength & Conditioning Coach

ASCA & Women’s Advisory Committee, and the Adelaide Football Club have joined together to create an associate role embedded within the Adelaide Football Club’s AFL program. The Associate Strength & Conditioning Coach is responsible for assisting the design and implementation of various elements of the physical performance program to ensure players develop and maintain the required physical capacities to effectively execute the Adelaide Football Club’s game plan. The incumbent will also be responsible for assisting the day-to-day operations of the club’s AFL men’s High-Performance Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the development, design and implementation of the Adelaide Football Club’s Strength and Power program
  • Design, individualise and maintain the development groups strength, power and athletic development program
  • Lead the set-up and pack-up of equipment for pre-training preparation and strength and power sessions
  • Assist in cross-training conditioning sessions during football training sessions and extra conditioning sessions
  • Complete a research project in the field of strength & power, in consultation with the Head of Strength and Athletic Development and General Manager of High Performance
  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the AFL Men’s high-performance program, performing whatever duties are required
