Crows forward Shane McAdam will miss the rest of the season after surgery on a depressed cheekbone fracture.

McAdam was involved in a collision during Saturday night’s loss to Sydney and finished the game before scans revealed the extent of the injury.

“Shane has been in great form since coming back into the team in Round 18 but unfortunately he will be unavailable for this weekend’s game against West Coast and he has not qualified for SANFL finals,” Crows High Performance Manager Darren Burgess said.

“We anticipate him making a full recovery from the surgery and it is not expected to impact his off-season program or pre-season.”
