Adelaide has made one change ahead of its Round Two AFLW match against Richmond at IKON Park on Friday afternoon.

The Crows have included small forward Jess Waterhouse in the line-up, after the 26-year-old was named as an emergency for last weekend’s opening round.

Waterhouse, a former Junior Matilda, made her AFLW debut in the Crows’ record-breaking win against GWS in Round Six, Season Seven.

Ruck/forward Montana McKinnon has been omitted.

Crows AFLW Coach Matthew Clarke said the weather forecast in Melbourne - which was expected to be wet and windy - played a part in the selection decision.

“Clearly the weather could be a factor, so we might have to look at the balance between talls and smalls,” Clarke told the media on Thursday.

“Melbourne is probably going to get this (Adelaide’s) weather tomorrow and it could be fairly challenging.

“(The one change is) based on the balance of the team.

“But in terms of performance, everyone played pretty well last week.”

The match will mark Skipper Chelsea Randall’s 50th milestone.

Clarke said Randall’s journey and what she has done for women’s football was worth celebrating.

“This is her eighth season to get to 50 games and what she’s been able to achieve in those 50 games is phenomenal,” Clarke said.

“We are immensely proud of her and the contribution she’s made to our Club and more broadly.

“Hopefully we can go about the game in the right manner and let her celebrate a good win on her milestone match.”

Irish recruit Yvonne Bonner and Sarah Goodwin have held their spot in the team after impressive Club debuts in the Crows’ Showdown win last weekend.

“Yvonne has been pretty impressive since she arrived,” Clarke said.

“Her workrate up and down the ground is phenomenal… She's making us better and we’re very happy.”

Forward Lisa Whiteley, Deni Varnhagen and McKinnon have been named as the emergencies.

Adelaide takes on Richmond at IKON Park on Friday at 4.35pm (ACST).

The match will be broadcast live on 7+, 7mate, Kayo and Fox Footy from 4.30pm.
