Kuwarna veteran Taylor Walker has revealed he will likely be rested within the next fortnight.
The Club’s all-time leading goal-kicker has played every game so far this season, in what is his 18th campaign as an AFL player.
Speaking to Roo, Ditts and Loz on Triple M Adelaide Breakfast, Walker said conversations regarding a break had taken place.
“It’s one of those things that will happen, probably, over the next couple of weeks, we’ve spoken about it (having a rest) and I’ll just do what’s best for the team,” Walker said.
“If it’s this week or if it’s next week, we’ll cross that bridge closer to the end of the week, which will be Thursday or Friday after the main session.”
Walker and his teammates are fresh off a 10-point loss to ladder-leader Collingwood at the MCG.
Reflecting on the contest, Walker highlighted an inability to make the most of its opportunities as the catalyst for the Kuwarna defeat.
“It was a tough result (to take), but we gave ourselves a massive chance against probably the in-form team of the competition,” Walker said.
“At the end of the day it probably comes down to some moments we would have probably liked back, opportunities that were missed at key times, and when you play the good sides you need to take those.
“We had a good review of it yesterday, and we all walked out of there pretty clear that our good footy is good enough, we just need to do it for a little bit longer.”
