Adelaide forward Taylor Walker will return to the side for its clash against Sydney at the SCG on Saturday night.
The decision was made to rest the veteran for last weekend’s game, “in the hope for longer term benefit across what is a long season”, according to Crows Head of Football Adam Kelly.
Walker is one of two changes, with defender Brodie Smith also named.
Smith is set to line-up in his second game of 2025, after featuring in the Crows’ Round Eight win against Carlton.
Fellow defender Rory Laird is being managed and will miss the game.
Smith, who amassed 17 disposals and kicked a goal against the Blues, earned a recall following a solid bout of form in the State League, according to Kelly.
“As we have stated previously, Brodie has been in excellent form in the SANFL and has been exemplary in his approach to his footy while not in the AFL team,” Kelly said.
“That showed itself in Round Eight, where he performed strongly.”
Zac Taylor has been omitted, and is named on the emergency list alongside Chris Burgess and Hugh Bond.
The Crows will name their substitute one hour before the first bounce.
Adelaide faces Sydney at the SCG on Saturday, at 7.05pm (ACST).
The match will be broadcast live on Channel 7 Adelaide, Fox Footy and Kayo.
