Adelaide forward Luke Pedlar will be a test for Adelaide’s clash against Richmond this Sunday, after suffering a corked quad.

The 23-year-old injured his quad during the Crows’ Round 14 match against Hawthorn, and will need to get through training this week to be available for this week’s game.

“Luke Pedlar got a knee to the bottom of his quad, top of his knee, in the Hawthorn game,” Adelaide High Performance Manager Darren Burgess said.

“It’s pulled up a little bit sore, he ran well today and we’re hoping he’ll be able to train on Thursday and play this weekend, but he’ll be a test at this point.”

Second-year defender Oscar Ryan is also listed as a test, as he awaits surgical clearance before being able to return from a broken jaw.

“Oscar has done a mountain of work, he’s done a lot of running and is doing really well,” Burgess said.

“He’ll see the surgeon on Friday to get clearance to play on Saturday, so hopefully that happens and he is available to play.”

Midfielder Matt Crouch is continuing his recovery from a hip injury, and will return to training within the next fortnight.

“Crouchy is running really well and he will be training with the main group probably within two weeks and available in around that four week mark,” Burgess said.

First-year Crow Tyler Welsh has had a pin taken out of the toe he fractured four weeks ago, and will now begin a three-week training block.

“Welshy had his pin removed from his toe earlier this week, he’ll hopefully do three weeks of training and hopefully be available at that four week mark,” Burgess said.

Key forward Toby Murray is progressing well from his ankle injury, and will return to running on grass next week.

“Toby Murray has done a lot of work running on the AlterG and off-legs work, he’ll start running on the field next week and be available at that four week mark.”
