Adelaide defender Jordon Butts will be available for selection this weekend, pending training, after successfully recovering from a punctured lung.

Butts was cleared last week to participate in elements of main training, with the 25-year-old now free to resume all sessions ahead of Round 22.

“Good news this week with Jordon Butts, he’s been cleared to resume full contact training,” Adelaide General Manager High Performance Darren Burgess said.

“Assuming he gets through everything this week, he’ll be available for selection this weekend.”

Fellow defender Max Michalanney continues to progress through his rehab for a hamstring strain sustained against Port Adelaide in Round 20.

“Max is doing a lot of running and a lot of strength work through that hamstring,” Burgess said.

“We’re anticipating he’ll be around 3-4 weeks away from resuming playing.”

Oscar Ryan (hamstring) and Lachlan McAndrew (jaw) are also on track with their repsective rehabilitation programs.

“Oscar has begun running and is doing really well,” Burgess said.

“He’ll work through his progressions and will be available in around 6-7 weeks time.

“(And) Lachie McAndrew is already able to run a lot, so he’s doing a fair bit of work.

“He’s involved in all training that isn’t contact. He’ll be around three weeks.
