Adelaide defender Max Michalanney will return to training next week as he continues his recovery from a hamstring strain.
The 21-year-old has not played since the Round 20 win over Port Adelaide after he was subbed out in the third quarter.
“Max has been running really well and been hitting some really good speeds,” Adelaide General Manager High Performance Darren Burgess said.
“He’ll be involved in training next week and should be available (for selection) shortly after that.”
Young forward Josh Rachele is edging closer to a return and is expected to start running next week.
“Josh Rachele will get his light brace off this week and he’ll be on the AlterG treadmill shortly after that,” Burgess said.
“We’re not really in a position to give an exact time frame yet, but we’re confident he’ll return to play at some point this season.”
James Peatling, who was subbed off against the Eagles on Sunday with a corked thigh, is expected to be available this weekend.
“James suffered a cork in the second quarter of the game on the weekend… it was a reasonable one, but he’s moving well,” Burgess said.
“He’ll do some sort of training or running tomorrow night.
“We expect him to be available this weekend.”
