Four Adelaide players are nominated for the 2025 AFL Players’ Association awards across four different categories.
The AFLPA released the nominees for the player-voted awards on Wednesday, with Crows Skipper Jordan Dawson in the running for Best Captain and Most Valuable Player.
Defender Josh Worrell and key forward Riley Thilthorpe join Dawson in being nominated for the AFLPA’s Most Valuable Player.
The MVP award, which was first given out in 1973, recognises a player who displays leadership, versatility, an ability to play under pressure, skill and courage.
Dawson, Worrell and Thilthorpe’s nomination for the AFLPA’s MVP award comes after they were named in the 2025 All-Australian Squad of 44.
Worrell has also been nominated for the Most Courageous award, following a career-best campaign as a pillar in defence for the Crows.
Young Crow Sid Draper has been nominated for the Best First Year Player.
Draper, who was recruited at Pick No.4 in the 2024 AFL National Draft, featured in 10 minor round matches, averaging 7.2 disposals and 2.4 tackles.
The AFLPA Awards will be announced at the 2025 AFL Awards on Thursday night.
