Adelaide thanks Rachelle Martin and Abbie Ballard for their dedication and effort after the pair were informed their contracts will not be renewed, as the Club finalises list changes ahead of the 2025 AFLW Draft on Monday, December 15.

Martin, 26, has played 61 games for the Crows since making her debut in Round One, 2020, including being a key contributor in the 2022 premiership.

Ballard, 23, has played 28 games since being selected with Pick No. 34 in the 2021 draft and making her debut in Round Three, Season Six, 2022.

Crows Head of AFLW Phil Harper thanked them for their significant contributions to the Club.

“The hard part of our industry is having to make these decisions and unfortunately we say goodbye to Rachelle and Abbie,” Harper said.

“Both are extremely popular players and have become crowd favourites because of the intensity and effort they put into their games.

“We thank them for everything they have done for the Club and wish them all the best for the future.”

Meanwhile, Georgia McKee will remain on the Club’s inactive list for the 2026 season as she continues to rehab her left knee after rupturing her ACL during pre-season this year.

Harper said McKee’s health and safety was at the forefront of the decision, given this is her second knee reconstruction.

“It’s disappointing for Georgia to miss a second-consecutive season, but she will continue to have the Club’s full support as she returns to the field,” Harper said.

As a result, Adelaide will receive an additional pick at the end of the 2025 AFLW Draft.
