Adelaide has named an extended 26-man squad for its AAMI Community Series clash against Fremantle at Mandurah’s Rushton Park.
Midfielders Sam Berry and James Peatling come out of the side that faced Port Adelaide in match simulation last Friday.
Berry has been managed, with the Club taking the opportunity to rest him from the trip to Perth after a strong pre-season on the track, while Peatling suffered a low-grade hamstring strain during the week.
As revealed on Wednesday, on-baller Jake Soligo also won’t feature against the Dockers, as he continues to manage an irregular heartbeat.
Charlie Edwards and Toby Murray will get another chance to showcase their skills after promising performances against the Power last week.
First round draftee Mitchell Marsh has also been included after playing in the SANFL trial match against Port Adelaide last week.
Adelaide’s SANFL team will also be in action this weekend, as it takes on Woodville-West Torrens in a trial match at Football Park on Friday evening.
Second-year Crow Sid Draper will feature in his first competitive match of the pre-season, with the on-baller set to line-up against the Eagles.
Other AFL-listed players named in the squad are Tyler Welsh, Oscar Ryan, Indy Cotton, Archie Ludowyke, Finnbar Maley and Reilly O’Brien.
Train-on player Zac Foot will also feature in the side, alongside new SANFL recruits Tom Bell, James Richards, Dayne McGary and Joseph Haines.
Adelaide’s AFL squad faces Fremantle in Mandurah on Saturday evening, with the first bounce at 5.40pm (ACDT).
