Adelaide Captain Jordan Dawson headlines a list of four inclusions for the Crows’ clash against Fremantle at Adelaide Oval on Friday night.
Dawson returns to the line-up after missing last weekend’s game against Geelong due to being managed with calf soreness.
Veteran forward Taylor Walker will come back into the team after he was also managed last week, while ruckman Reilly O’Brien and backman James Borlase have been named.
O’Brien and Borlase will feature in their first AFL games for 2026 and Executive General Manager Football Adam Kelly said their selection reflected solid form in the SANFL, as well as the added flexibility within the squad.
“As has been expressed across the pre-season by our coaches, it has been a great battle between Reilly and Lachie for the ruck spot in the team, and this is a week that we have decided that both will suit us best,” Kelly said.
“The additional player on the interchange has certainly offered up more opportunity to consider the playing of two rucks. Reilly was great last week (in the SANFL) and we welcome back his leadership and experience.
“James has been rock solid behind the ball through the pre-season and throughout.
“It has been a real credit to him that he has continued to develop as a player and he has shown great maturity in the way in which he has concentrated his efforts whilst waiting for this opportunity to arise.”
Jordon Butts will miss the Good Friday clash, with the defender entering the AFL’s concussion protocols.
Luke Nankervis, Finnbar Maley, and Chayce Jones have been omitted, with the trio all named on the emergency list.
The Crows' SANFL team will take on Woodville-West Torrens at Maughan Thiem Kia Oval on Thursday at 7.40pm. See the team here.
