A five-goal haul from veteran Taylor Walker, including the eventual match-winner, led the Crows to a thrilling one-point win against St Kilda at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.
Here’s everything you may have missed from the emotion-charged win.
Charlie Edwards shines on debut
Young Crow Charlie Edwards earned a long-awaited debut for the game against the Saints and the 20-year-old enjoyed a solid first outing.
Pre-game, Edwards was presented with his guernsey by former Crow Paul Seedsman, who also donned the No.11.
In front of a large contingent of family, friends, and the Crows faithful, Edwards finished the game with 18 disposals, five clearances, four marks, and 474 metres gained.
Edwards’ explosiveness out of the centre was a major factor in Adelaide’s mid-game comeback.
He spoke with AFC Media after the game, and said making his debut was an “unbelievable feeling”.

Enemy in the rooms
Former Port Adelaide Senior Coach turned Fox Footy analyst Ken Hinkley was in Adelaide’s changerooms post-game on Saturday night.
The former Power mentor was heckled in jest for being in the inner sanctum of a Club that was previously a cross-town enemy.
Hinkley admitted to feeling “really uncomfortable” in the Crows’ rooms.

Five goals from the Texan
Veteran and former Captain Taylor Walker stepped up when his side needed it the most, booting five goals, including the late matchwinner, to help steer the Crows to victory.
Walker, who turns 36 this Saturday, was Adelaide’s backbone inside-50, and the last two of his goals were kicked from Adelaide Oval’s southwestern pocket near the players’ box.
In a post-game interview with Fox Footy, Walker forwards coach Scott Burns had put it on him to help lift the team after a slow first-quarter display.
“Burnsy said at quarter-time ‘mate, I need you’, and I was able to redirect my focus, keep staying in the contest and it was able to turn for me,” Walker said.
“It was a pretty challenging week for our footy club again and for Daws, and his family, so it was pretty special to come out here and get the four points, and win by a point.
“We’re going to wrap our arms around Daws and (wife) Milly, and (the family) for a long time.”
Walker’s performance also caught the eye of Fox Footy commentators, who had this to say in game:
Adelaide great Mark Ricciuto - “I reckon he was pointing straight up to Jordan Dawson up there, saying ‘That one was few you, buddy, I hope you’re going all right’. When you haven’t got your captain out there, it’s time for the old captain to step up. (Alex) Neal-Bullen is the captain (in Dawson’s absence), but Tex has always been an inspirational leader.”
Former Port Adelaide Coach turned Fox Footy analyst Ken Hinkley - “Good on him. He’s that sort of fella. He knows how to help his team and when to help his team.”
