Adelaide’s new headquarters at Thebarton continues to take shape with the all-important irrigation works about to commence on the facility’s main oval.
The $105 million project remains ahead of schedule, with fresh photos showing the latest progress 14 months into construction.
The oval has recently been handed over to the contractor in charge of irrigation and turf works, with the turf expected to be laid in the near future.
The external concourse of the main administration building is nearing completion and the façade and internal fit out continues to progress at pace. Significant work is also being done on the Western facility.
Crows CEO Tim Silvers said the project was tracking well.
“We’re excited for the laying of the turf in the coming weeks which is a significant milestone,” Silvers said.
“We’re now at the stage where we’re working through internal fit-out, and the details in our new home are coming together.

“Excitement is building at the Club as we get closer to moving to what we believe will be the best training and administration facility in the country.”
Adelaide’s AFL, AFLW and SANFL teams will train at Thebarton, which will also be the Club’s home ground for AFLW matches.
The redevelopment includes construction of a function centre, café, members’ lounge and interactive museum showcasing the club’s history.
Adelaide supporters can be part of the Crows’ new home by pledging a picket to the Thebarton Oval Precinct.
Fans can donate to have their name or message etched into a plaque affixed to the pickets around the boundary of the facility’s main oval.
By pledging a picket, supporters will secure a place in history and be part of a new era for the Club.
The donation of a picket is $500 and is tax-deductable via the Australian Sports Foundation.
