Fremantle forward Michael Walters has been charged by AFL’s Match Review and can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.

Walters was charged with striking Jake Kelly during the final quarter of Sunday’s clash at Optus Stadium, with the incident assessed as intentional conduct with medium impact to the body.

However, the match day report laid against Walters for headbutting Tom Doedee has been thrown out.

The Match Revie Officer deemed there was minimal contact between the pair and the action did not meet the requirement for a charge to be laid.
