Paul Seedsman could play his first AFL game of 2019 when Adelaide take on Sydney at the SCG this Friday night.

Crows General Manager of High Performance Matt Hass revealed on Tuesday the wingman, who missed Round One as he recovered from finger surgery, was on track to put his hand up for selection.

“Seedo’s trained really well, he’s been ahead of schedule the whole way through,” Hass said.

“We’ll re-introduce him to main training this week and he’ll do a fitness test around tackling and his ability to grip and take contested marks, but it’s looking really positive at the minute.”

After sustaining an ankle injury in the fourth quarter of Adelaide’s Round One clash with Hawthorn, veteran Crow Richard Douglas will miss Friday night’s game.

“Dougy, in the fourth quarter, in a contested situation, was tripped and rolled his ankle quite significantly, which resulted in a high ankle sprain,” Hass said.

“They [ankle sprains] are reasonably complex so we need to further investigate and consult a specialist to direct us on which way we want to go.

“It looks to be quite significant and he’ll miss a period of time, but we’ll provide updates as we gather more information.”

As widely reported, defender Tom Doedee will miss the remainder of the season after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in the second term of Round One.

“Yeah Tommy, obviously in the second quarter injured his ACL and he’ll miss the remainder of the year,” Hass said.

“Tom’s a pro, we’re really confident he’ll nail his rehab and come back bigger and better next season.”

First-year Crow Shane McAdam is expected miss the next four weeks after sustaining a calf injury in the final term of the Crows SANFL trial last Friday night.

Will Hamill (finger) will face a test at Adelaide’s main training on Wednesday, while Andrew McPherson will be available for selection after missing out on the trial match with a virus.

Injury List as of Tuesday, March 26

Douglas (Syndesmosis) – TBC
McAdam (Calf) – 4 weeks
Brown (Ankle) – 5-7 weeks
