Crows superstar Erin Phillips has cemented her place in AFLW history after winning her second best and fairest title in three years at the W Awards on Tuesday night.

She dominated the votes across the seven rounds to finish with an incredible 19 out of a possible 21 votes.

The emotion of what has been a bittersweet 48 hours for the 33-year-old was written all over her face as she took to the stage to accept her award.

With the audience on their feet, it was clear just how much it meant to the two-time premiership captain.

In 2017, she was a trailblazer in the inaugural AFLW season, taking out every award there was.

After injury plagued her 2018 campaign, Phillips returned to her scintillating form in 2019 to set the standard for the competition once again.

She averaged a career-best 21.4 disposals, 5.2 clearances and 3.2 tackles a game, while slotting 11 goals to go with her 37 inside 50s.

In Adelaide’s 45-point Grand Final victory over Carlton, she took home the best on ground medal despite going down with an ACL injury in the third term.

Phillips was also named captain of the 2019 All Australian side at the awards ceremony, with co-captain Chelsea Randall named as her vice.

The duo were joined by Ebony Marinoff, Stevie-Lee Thompson and Anne Hatchard in the side.

The accolades top off an incredible week for Phillips, after she was voted in by her peers as the AFLPA Most Valuable Player on Monday morning.
