Adelaide has officially placed injured defender Tom Doedee on the AFL inactive list.

The decision creates an additional list spot for the Crows ahead of the mid-season draft on Monday, May 27.

Crows General Manager List Management and Strategy Justin Reid said the Club was “open-minded” about the mid-season rookie draft.

“We will explore our options, not just here in South Australia but across the country in regards to the talent available,” Reid said.

It is the first time in more than 25 years that the AFL has hosted a draft during the home-and-away season.

The draft order will be determined in the same manner as the National Draft - the reverse of the AFL ladder - following the results of Round 10.

Clubs can recruit any player who has already been on an AFL list or who nominated for the 2018 National Draft.
