Crows co-captain Rory Sloane will be closely monitored this week after scans have revealed a minor medial hamstring strain in his right leg.

Sloane sustained the injury in the second quarter of Adelaide’s clash with Melbourne on Saturday night after lunging to tackle and did not return to the game.

“Rory has already commenced his rehab. This involves treatment and loading inclusive of running today,” Crows General Manager of High Performance Matt Hass said.

“Given the nature and location of the injury, and the fact that he was removed from play means he has every opportunity to recover by the weekend so we won’t rule him out of this weekend’s game.”

Hass confirmed Sloane would be reassessed daily and decisions made later in the week with regards to his availability for Round 12.
