Crows fans are in for a treat with Sunday's annual Carnival Day @ Woodville promising a fun, family-friendly festival at the footy.

Now in its sixth season, there will be no shortage of off-field activities to enjoy along with a key on-field SANFL battle between the Crows and Eagles at Maughan Thiem Kia Oval.

Everyone is welcome and in 2019, all Crows members, including We Fly As One, can gain entry to the event for free.

When public gates open at 12pm, the jumping castle, face painting and craft area will be underway.

The free kids community treasure hunt also returns with 16 stops around the oval, including local charities, SANFL Activation Zone, AFL Max and summer sporting teams such as the Adelaide Strikers and the Adelaide Bite.

Fans should also keep an eye out for Claude the Crow on the day.

The highlight of the day for most young ones is the free kids parade and guards of honour.

Gathering at the southern goals at 1.40pm, young fans can march around the oval at 1.50pm and line up outside the Crows race when the team runs out at 2pm.

The Crows Supporters Group will be supplying several flags for the parade to Crows junior members.

At Monday’s Carnival Day @ Woodville launch event at Westfield West Lakes, young Crows defender Lachlan Sholl said it was a great initiative to get fans more involved in SANFL footy.

“When I was a kid, I loved going to matches and having a kick on the oval during the breaks,” Sholl said.

“I think it’s great how much the kids can get involved in the day and how close they can get to the action.

“We’d love to see heaps of Crows fans out there, cheering us on as we head towards finals.”

The game will get underway at 2.10pm with the SANFL side seeking to lock in their first top three finish, which comes with a critical finals double chance.

Fans are encouraged to bring a footy and have a kick on the oval during the game breaks. It will be broadcast live on 1079 Life from 1.30pm.

Entry is free to all people aged Under 18 and Crows ticketed members. In addition, We Fly As One Members have received a free family ticket offer via email.
