Adelaide will receive a third-round selection in this year’s draft and a future second-round selection for defender Alex Keath after a trade deal with the Western Bulldogs was completed on Wednesday evening.

The Crows have acquired the Bulldogs' pick No.45 and a future second-round pick.

In exchange, Adelaide will send Keath and the Crows' future third-round selection.

The former cricketer joined the Crows as a mature Category B rookie in 2016 and played 30 AFL games.

Crows General Manager List Management and Strategy Justin Reid said the draft pick would be used to bring in more exciting young talent to the Club.

“We are looking to rejuvenate our list so pick 45 will help us do that,” Reid said.

“At the same time, we would like to thank Alex for his contribution to the Club.

“He came to AFL football later than most players and did everything he could to reach the top level.

“Alex should be proud of what he achieved with the Crows and we wish him and Laura all the best for the future.

“He will always be welcome at the Club.”

Adelaide has picks 4, 23, 28, 45 and 49 at November’s AFL draft.
