Kuwarna livewire Josh Rachele has received a Round 10 Goal of the Year nomination for his snap from the ‘Eddie Betts pocket’ during the final quarter of Saturday’s match against North Melbourne.

Rachele spun out of a tackle, snapped from close to the boundary line, and the ball curled perfectly through the big sticks.

The 23-year-old then emulated Betts’ iconic celebration raising his arms to soak in the applause, and pointing to the turf.

Rachele finished the 68-point win against the Kangaroos with three goals, 18 disposals and five marks.

Round 10 voting closes on Thursday at 9.30am (ACST).
