Adelaide veteran forward Taylor Walker headlines two changes to the Crows’ line-up for its Round 13 game against Geelong.

Walker earned a recall after a five-goal performance in his return from a hamstring injury with the Crows’ SANFL team a fortnight ago.

“Aside from his performance at SANFL level, which was clearly impressive, you couldn’t help but to be impressed with the way in which Taylor approached that game and supported his teammates,” Executive General Manager Football Adam Kelly said.

“Taylor has been a terrific leader in our playing group, in many and varied situations, and this was another example of his leadership strength.”

Walker joins mid-season draftee Hugo Hall-Kahan in the line-up, after the Club announced earlier in the week the recruit would make his AFL debut against the Cats.

The Crows selected the 22-year-old with Pick No.10 in the Mid-Season Rookie Draft, after an impressive start to the 2026 campaign with VFL team Williamstown.

Kelly said the Club had been impressed with Hall-Kahan and the work he had put in to get himself on an AFL list.

“Our recruiting team, particularly Alex Woodward, tracked Hugo closely in the lead up to the mid-season draft and they recommended with confidence that he was a player that could add something to our squad, and that he had the potential to play at AFL level in 2026,” Kelly said.

“We didn’t think that the opportunity would avail itself so early but with Isaac Cumming’s injury on Monday night, and Hugo really impressing in our last two main sessions, the decision was made to bring him in for his AFL debut.

“Whilst new to our group, we are trusting in the high level of footy that Hugo has consistently produced in the VFL, and that warranted the opportunity.

“It’s obviously exciting for Hugo and his family, and a great credit to him for the work that he has put in to give himself a second chance at AFL.”

Reilly O’Brien, Luke Pedlar and Nick Murray have been named as the emergencies.

Forward Izak Rankine comes out of the team due to a calf injury, while Riley Thilthorpe will miss the game due to suspension.

Adelaide takes on Geelong in the third edition of SA Freeze at Adelaide Oval on Thursday night at 7pm (ACST).
