Adelaide duo Isaac Cumming and Nick Murray were put to the test on this week’s episode of Triple M’s Crows Chat, as they answered a number of questions sent in by fans.
From who is the most unique player they’ve played with to their ideal dinner party menu, read below how the boys fared.
Q: Who is the biggest beast in the gym, and best up and comer?
Cumming: “It's got to be my boy big bristle (Nick Murray) to my left here. He probably sits equal first with Riley Thilthorpe. Yeah, those two are just like I've never seen anything like it.
“My up and comer would have to be Hugh Bond, obviously a lot smaller in height, but I think pound for pound, he would be right up there in strength, and he's got a crazy bench as well.”
Murray: “Mine's Riley Thilthorpe, I think he benches… like 155, but then his squat is very impressive, he's like 180 which is crazy.
“My up and comer is Dan Curtin, he's a big beast in the gym.”
Q: Who's the most competitive person you have played with?
Cumming: “I'll give you two. I'll go at the Giants. It was Sam Taylor.
“And then here we go with Mark Keane, extremely competitive, but I think where the difference is with him is he just gets so, so angry, so it makes the competitiveness a bit more stand out. He can just flick the switch.”
Murray: Josh Worrell, for mine, quite easily, whether it's football or just all facets of life. He's very competitive.
“Which is interesting for the big Woozle, because I feel like if people got to know him off field, they wouldn't expect that, he can turn it on very quickly.”
Q: Most unique character you've played with, and why?
Cumming: “Well, if we're going with the unique definition at face value, I think I'm gonna have to go with Finnbar Maley.
“I've never met anyone so unapologetically themselves, it is just unreal to be around, like he's a crazy guy. He’s unbelievable.”
Murray: “Mine is a guy by the name of Brody Filo back home. He used to have about 12 stubbies before every game, he’s played 500 senior games, he’s an absolute star, and has never done a soft tissue.
“He’s a very unique individual, and has won like probably five plus league medals, just a star.”
Q: Who's the most street smart at the Adelaide Football Club?
Cumming: “I reckon JP really rates his street smarts, and to his credit, he has got some good things.
“But I think it's probably got to be Texan, he's lived a long life, 18 or 19 years in the system, learnt a few things.
Murray: “Well, I'll tell you who he thinks they are, Luke Pedlar, he thinks he's Albert Einstein.
“But my answer is Tex, just due to him being about 50 years of age, so you know he's lived a couple lifetimes.”
Q: You've invited eight teammates and their partners over, and you've told them to bring just themselves, nothing at all. What are you providing in terms of food and drink that night?
Cumming: “Well for food, assuming it's summer, it's a barbecue and winter, something from the slow cooker, and then yeah, if it's summer and the off-season, plenty of beers.”
Murray: “My guilty pleasure food is like service station food, I was in Blanchetown on Sunday, and really hooked into it.
“So mine would be the Henty service station, best in New South Wales. Just have a big order up from there. Everyone picks what they want, and we'll get that delivered.
“The longer it sits there as well on the Bay Marie, the better it is. A nine hour trip from New South Wales to here would be perfect.”
