Crows forward Grace Kelly has been ruled out of Ireland's representative AFLW team, which will play Australia in Sydney on August 1, with a hamstring injury. 

Kelly, 32, sustained a minor hamstring strain during the Club's pre-season match simulation against West Coast last week.

Crows Executive General Manager AFLW Bree Brock said the Club was taking a conservative approach with the key position player.

"Grace will play an integral role for our team this season, and while it is hugely disappointing she won't be able to represent Ireland alongside her sister, Niamh, and fellow Crows Irish teammates Amy Boyle-Carr and Kayleigh Cronin, (but) we are taking an abundance of caution as she rehabilitates her injury," Brock said.

Adelaide now has five representatives in the historic Australia v Ireland match, with Crows Captain Ebony Marinoff and key defender Chelsea Biddell playing for team Australia.

The Crows kick off their 2026 AFLW campaign against Sydney at Unley Oval on Sunday, August 16.
