Adelaide is set to make multiple changes for its clash against Essendon at Marvel Stadium on Sunday, with seven players added to an extended squad.

Forward Brayden Cook, who was managed for last week’s game against Collingwood, and defender Mark Keane (illness), are both in line to make a return to the Crows’ AFL side.

Recruit Callum Ah Chee has also been named in the extended squad, and could be in line for a comeback after missing the past seven AFL matches with a hamstring injury.

As announced earlier on Thursday, draftee Archie Ludowyke and third-year Crow Oscar Ryan have been named in the squad and will make their AFL debuts.

Billy Dowling and Lachlan Sholl round out the squad inclusions.

The Club can confirm that Sam Berry (foot), James Peatling (groin) and Wayne Milera (hamstring) will also miss this weekend's game.

“Unfortunately Wayne was not able to complete today’s session due to a hamstring injury, we will not know the extent of the injury until we see the results of a scan,” Executive General Manager Football Adam Kelly said.

"Sam has been managing foot soreness across the past few weeks, and we have tried to adjust his load in the lead up to the game against Essendon, however he hasn’t quite come up for this weekend.

"James has some groin soreness coming out of the Sydney game which presented again late in the game versus Collingwood. Similar to Sam, he hasn’t been able to get to the start line this week.

‘We expect both to be available next week but will have to monitor their progress."

Finnbar Maley has been omitted.

Adelaide will name a final team of 23 on Friday at 4.30pm (ACST).

The Crows face Essendon at Marvel Stadium on Sunday at 4.10pm (ACST), with the match to be broadcast live on Channel 7 Adelaide, Fox Footy and Kayo.

IN: Cook, Keane, Ludowyke, Ryan, Ah Chee, Dowling, Sholl.

OUT: Berry, Peatling (managed), Milera (injured), Maley (omitted).
