Adelaide defender Josh Worrell has been charged by the Match Review Officer following an incident with Essendon’s Angus Clarke at Marvel Stadium on Sunday.

Worrell has been cited for striking Clarke during the first quarter of the match.

He has received a $1500 fine, which can be reduced to $1000 with an early plea.

Worrell will be available to line up in Adelaide’s Round 22 clash against Richmond at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.
