Adelaide AFLW midfielder Chloe Bown has described her League debut as "unreal" and a moment she will never forget.
Bown, who was selected by Adelaide with pick No.5 at the 2025 AFLW Draft, donned the Crows colours for the first time on Sunday, after an impressive bout of form in pre-season.
The 18-year-old produced an impressive first game in the Crows’ Round One clash against Sydney, amassing 18 disposals, eight score involvements and five marks.
Speaking on the Club’s post-game show, Crows Live, Bown said playing her first game was a moment she would not forget.
"All week I was a bit nervous, but I think just mostly so excited and happy to be in this position,” Bown said.
"It's been an exciting week, (and) it was a dream come true to finally play.
“How excited the girls were (for me) and how much they got around me made the day so special.”
Bown made her debut alongside fellow draftee Olivia Gorman, Juliet Kelly, who was a pre-season pick-up, and recruit Grace Egan, who played her first game for the Crows after coming across from Richmond.
The quartet was involved in a special guernsey presentation at training on Saturday morning, adding to the memorable week.
Bown said her mindset heading into her debut game was simple.
"I go into every game just wanting to have fun,” Bown said.
“That’s what makes footy fun, just going out there and doing your thing.
"I definitely had the most fun week.”
Adelaide will be hoping to record its first win for the season when it takes on Carlton at Ikon Park on Sunday at 2.50pm (ACST).
The game will be broadcast live on 7Mate and Kayo.
