Adelaide has made one change for its Round Six clash against Brisbane at Brighton Homes Arena on Sunday evening. 

Irish forward Amy Boyle Carr has been recalled for the match, and will make her first appearance since Round Two. 

Adelaide Executive General Manager Women’s Football Bree Brock said Boyle Carr had worked hard to earn her spot back, and would provide some welcome speed to the Crows’ forward mix. 

“We’re excited to welcome Amy back into the side this week, she’s impressed on the track and in scrimmages across the past few weeks and has earned her opportunity,” Brock said. 

“She will bring a spark to our forward line with her speed, and complement the group we have up there at the moment.” 

First year midfielder Juliet Kelly has been omitted for the clash, and has been named as an emergency alongside Ava Stewart and Christina Leuzzi. 

Adelaide will face Brisbane for the 15th time on Sunday afternoon, in what has been the most frequent match-up in the competition’s history. 

Brock said the group was looking forward to travelling north and facing the reigning grand finalists on their home deck. 

“We all know the history between the two teams and there have been some great battles over the years,” Brock said. 

“As a group we are super excited to take on the challenge the Lions will present, we are expecting it to be a tight, hotly contested game, and hopefully we find ourselves on the right side of the result.” 

Adelaide takes on Brisbane at Brighton Homes Arena this Sunday afternoon, with the match to start at 4.35pm (ACST).
