Adelaide recruit Alice Tentye will make her AFLW debut in Showdown V against Port Adelaide at Alberton Oval on Saturday night.
Tentye joined the Crows as a replacement player ahead of this season, following a rapid rise through the South Australian football ranks.
The SA-born midfielder only started playing in the SANFLW for Woodville-West Torrens in 2025 after being scouted from the Limestone Coast.
She caught the eye of the Crows’ recruiters after a standout 2025 SANFLW campaign with the Eagles, in which she averaged 26 disposals, 9.4 tackles, 4.1 clearances and 3.6 marks per game.
Adelaide Executive General Manager Women’s Football Bree Brock said the 21-year-old on-baller had earned her debut after working extremely hard during the pre-season and scrimmage matches.
Brock said Tentye’s contested work and clearance ability would add a boost to the team as it eyed a Showdown win.
“Alice has earned this opportunity through her work ethic and consistency since joining the Club in July,” Brock said.
“She has embraced every challenge, competed strongly in our scrimmage matches and continued to develop her game.
“Her contested ball-winning ability and strength around the stoppages are real assets, and we feel those qualities can have an impact in a game like a Showdown.
“We’re excited to see her take this next step and look forward to what she can bring to the team.”
The Crows face the Power in Showdown V at Alberton Oval on Saturday at 6.45pm.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for Members and fans aged 15-17, while children under-14 receive free entry.
