Adelaide superstar Izak Rankine will remain a Crow until at least the end of 2032 after finalising a new long-term contract with the Club.

The 26-year-old has signed a five-year extension, on top of his current contract which runs until the end of next year.

Rankine finished the year on fire, polling Brownlow votes in seven of the last eight games, including five best-on-ground performances.

He finished in the top 10 overall and was the leading vote-getter (25) for the Crows.

Rankine averaged career-highs in disposals (24.4), clearances (5.2) and marks (4.3) across 22 games.

Crows General Manager List Management Jarryd Roughead described it as a major signing for the Club heading into 2027.

“To have a player of Izak’s calibre committed to our Club for the next six seasons is a fantastic result,” Roughead said.

“On the field, he brings a level of class and skill that elevates his teammates, particularly now that he’s made that move into the midfield… Look no further than the final third of the season to see just what he is capable of.

“And away from footy he is a high-quality person who brings a lot of energy and character to the locker room.

“We’re excited to see what he can achieve over the next six years for himself and for the Club.”

Rankine said it was an easy decision to extend.

“I grew up a diehard Crows supporter and playing here is all I’ve ever wanted,” Rankine said.

“The support from the Club, the connection I’ve built with our fans and the genuine love the people of Adelaide have shown me, it made this an easy decision.

“Now it’s about repaying that faith and helping this Club pursue Premiership success.

“That’s what our fans deserve.”
