Injured Crows Paul Seedsman (knee) and Richard Douglas (ankle) are fast approaching their returns to AFL football after accelerating their rehabilitation in recent weeks.

Seedsman, who hyperextended his knee in Round Three, is expected to take the field in the next fortnight.

“Seedo’s recovered really well, obviously the night it occurred we were fearful of the ACL but as we know that was all clear,” Crows General Manager of High Performance Matt Hass said.

“He’s done a lot of training in the last couple of weeks and in the last fortnight has really accelerated in his rehab so he’s closing in on his return.

“We’re hopeful he’ll be back in the next one to two weeks.”

Hass said Douglas was facing a similar timeframe after overcoming an ankle injury he sustained in Round One.

“Dougy’s been really good in the last couple of weeks, he’s started to get a lot more on-ground training load in and integrated back in with the group,” Hass said.

“He’s also a week or two away.”

Defender Andrew McPherson will face a test this week after recovering from minor hamstring symptoms.

“Andy’s hamstring has recovered well. He has had some associated back and nerve root irritation that has responded well to management,” Hass said.
