Essendon youngster Conor McKenna can accept a one-week sanction after being charged by the AFL Match Review panel for an incident involving Crow Riley Knight in the final quarter of Adelaide’s 65-point win over the Bombers on Saturday.

McKenna has been charged with making forceful contact from front-on against Knight, which was assessed as careless conduct with medium impact to the head.

The incident was classified as a two-match sanction, however McKenna can accept a one-week ban with an early guilty plea.
