Adelaide will receive a future fourth-round draft selection for ruckman Sam Jacobs after a trade deal was finalised with Greater Western Sydney on Tuesday.

Traded from Carlton to Adelaide at the end of 2010, Jacobs played 184 games for the Crows over nine seasons.

Crows General Manager List Management and Strategy Justin Reid said the popular 31-year-old and his family would always be welcome at the Club.

“Sam has been a magnificent player for the Adelaide Football Club,” Reid said.

“We were always going to do whatever we could to help him get to where he wanted to be next season.

“We wish Sam, Izzy and young Imogen all the very best for the future.”

Adelaide currently holds selections 4, 23, 28 and 49 in next month’s National Draft.

The Crows have also acquired two future fourth-round selections during this Trade Period.
