Adelaide have added a rebounding defender with a penetrating kick to its list, after selecting Madison Newman in the 2019 AFLW Draft.

Key achievements:
- Earned All-Australian honours after an excellent display for South Australia and the Central Allies across the 2019 NAB AFLW U18 Championships, where she finished top 10 for disposals
- Ranked second in the SANFLW competition for rebound 50s after being often entrusted with the kick-ins for West Adelaide and was recognised with selection in the SANFLW Team of the Year
- Newman also showed promise as a forward, kicking four goals in the SANFL Women’s exhibition game between Adelaide and Port Adelaide in July
- A member of the Crows AFLW Acceleration Academy
