Crows fans have named Andrew McLeod as their all-time favourite player in a Facebook competition run by AFC Media earlier this month.

Fans were asked to name their favourite Crow and the question garnered more than 2,000 responses.

The former No. 23 was the overwhelming favourite with 629 of the comments naming the dual-Norm Smith Medalist.

“Andrew McLeod for sure,” one fan wrote on Facebook.

“A quiet but amazing player, not recognised in the AFL like he should have been, definitely deserved to win and should have received a Brownlow Medal. Legend.”

In second place was Adelaide’s all-time leading goal-kicker, Tony Modra, who was mentioned 419 times by fans.

“People ask me as a Victorian how I ended up going for the Crows,” another fan wrote.

“He (Modra) is the answer… just an amazing footballer.”

Former Club captain and Brownlow Medal winner Mark Riccuto finished third on the list with 215 comments.

From there, a series of players finished with between 50 and 100 votes, including Ben Hart, Rory Sloane and Taylor Walker.
