Crows midfielder Ebony Marinoff scored a perfect 10 in the AFL Coaches Association AFLW Champion Player of the Year voting for Round Two.

The 22-year-old earned the votes after racking up 26 disposals, five marks and four tackles in Adelaide’s 13-point victory over St Kilda at Hisense Stadium (Richmond Oval).

Forward Courtney Gum followed close behind Marinoff with eight votes after her 19 disposals, seven marks and five tackles – including a Mark of the Year nomination.

After topping the Crows votes in Round One, midfielder Anne Hatchard polled again with two votes.

Georgia Patrikios was the top Saint with five votes.

CROW CHARGED: Eloise Jones got a rough conduct charge

On Monday, Marinoff told Triple M’s Bernie and Jars that while it was nice to get the four points in the come-from-behind victory, the Crows still have work to do.

“In the last quarter, a couple of our senior girls stood up and knew we had to get the job done because if you’re 0-2 heading into Round Three, that’s not where you want to be,” Marinoff said.

“Last year, we were probably the hardest team offensively to play against and losing star power in the forward line hasn’t helped, but we need to have more pressure around the ground.

“At half-time, Doc [senior coach Matthew Clarke] really enforced that we need to press the game, tackle – we needed to get our contested game up.”

Adelaide will travel to Geelong for Round Three, with the match against the Cats at 5.10pm AEDT at GMHBA Stadium.
