Adelaide forward Taylor Walker has a clear message for anyone considering cancelling Home & Away - “don’t you dare”.

An avid fan of the classic Channel 7 Australian drama series, Walker said he could “go on forever” discussing the storylines keeping him interested.

“It’s only just come back on this week,” Walker told Triple M’s Roo & Ditts.

“I’ll put a petition to make sure it doesn’t get sacked.”

Away from the TV screen, Walker has been maintaining his fitness regimen for when the AFL season returns.

According to the 29-year-old, players are still putting themselves through their paces.

“I’ve been running twice a week, then jump on a bike,” Walker said.

“A few of the other boys are doing three days (of running), but I’ve got an elliptical machine I jump on at home.

“I rode along the esplanade yesterday, along Somerton Park, Seacliff… it’s an absolutely beautiful ride.”

Regarding a return date to competitive football, Walker said he knew little more than the public.

“It will be interesting to see how the fixture is and how it plays out,” he said.

“Nothing too much has come out of when we’re going to play.”
