Adelaide forward Riley Knight believes Taylor Walker’s elimination final goal assist to Charlie Cameron in 2015 was “one of the best kicks” he’s seen.

With Adelaide leading by a point over the Western Bulldogs, Walker collected the ball on the wing and, after a bounce, fired a bullet pass into Cameron in the 50.

Knight, who booted the ball to Walker, told The Optus Crows Show he’d never forget the run of play.

“It was like poetry in motion,” Knight said.

“I remember looking down the field and I didn’t see anyone except for JJ (Josh Jenkins) in the 50.

“I didn’t know if Tex would go the whole way and kick it himself or if he could get it to JJ.

“I remember seeing the ball come at right angles, and to his left, out of nowhere, Charlie Cameron was running straight towards goal.

“I still get tingles down my spine thinking about that play.”

Knight said the significance of the moment combined with the late stage of the game contributed to the impressiveness of the kick.

“For Tex to execute that kick under immense pressure and fatigue… It’s still one of the best kicks in a game I’ve seen while playing,” the 25-year-old said.

Knight, who donned the No.39 guernsey before inheriting Brent Reilly’s No.3, booted two goals in his first finals appearance.

“(It was) obviously awesome to kick a couple of goals in a big game like that,” Knight said.

“The roar and sound after that was like none other.”
